Mixed Media Art Reflection

Over the past few weeks Room 2 at Tardadale Intermediate have been learning about Mixed Media Art. What is Mixed Media Art? Say you were doing a piece of art then you use different materials to make it three dimensional. The different materials can be Newspaper, wool, foam, buttons, string, paint, crayons, gesso, water down paint/PVA glue and PVA glue and many more.

Step 1. On the first step we watched a video on how to draw a face before we did our practice sketch. The practice sketch was hard.

Step 2. Was to Sketch out the face and neck/shoulders

Step 3. Was to draw your real piece of Art and glue paper on the whole piece of paper. This was hard because you had to try and get it to be like your practice sketch.

Step 4. Was to paint your face, shoulders, neck and background on top of the paper.

Step 5. Use your different materials to make it 3d.

step 6. Get a word to describe you, then make five words to describe yourself as the word you chose.

Step 7. Get all your words and put them round your portrait.

This was a lot of Fun because I get to put different Materials on my Face, this is kind of like a Picasso piece of art. I really enjoyed this and my Elective is Mixed Media Art which is really fun.
